Founder & Artistic Director
In addition to directing Syracuse City Ballet, Kathleen Rathbun is also the Director of Ballet & Dance of Upstate New York. Ms. Rathbun is an accomplished professional dancer and choreographer. Her repertoire includes Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake, Cinderella (with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra) and a number of other ballets which have performed to capacity houses and four-star reviews. In December 2009, on the heels of an October production of Dracula, Ms. Rathbun choreographed the company’s first Nutcracker, and it quickly became a beloved holiday tradition throughout Central New York. Ms. Rathbun has in-depth experience developing young dancers’ technique, strength and artistry. A former soloist with Princeton Ballet Society of New Jersey, and Dancer’s Ensemble of Syracuse, Ms. Rathbun attended The Juilliard School on a full scholarship. She also studied with David Howard, Melissa Hayden, Finis Young, and other world renowned teachers. Ms. Rathbun taught classical ballet at Syracuse University and was the former director of the Dance Department at Metropolitan School of the Arts.
Patricia is a graduate of Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre’s Young Dancers Program in Cambridge, MA, where she performed with their pre-professional performance group, YouthWorks. She has also trained with Boston Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, and the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts.
Upon graduation from the Young Dancers Program, Patricia joined Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre’s professional company where she danced as a company member for eight years, performing in numerous original works by choreographer Jose Mateo. She was also a member of the teaching faculty at Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre, where she taught in the Young Dancers Program, and has also served as the Nutcracker Children’s Cast Coordinator.
Patricia is pursuing a degree in Social Science with a concentration in Psychology from Harvard University and will complete her studies in 2019.

Bradley's passion for dance and the arts began at an early age while training at The Center of Ballet & Dance Arts in Syracuse under the instruction of Deborah Boughton. As a member of Actors' Equity Association, Bradley had the opportunity to perform on prominent stages across the world for 15 years before returning to CNY. Some of her performance credits include the Broadway revival of Oklahoma!, the 1st National Tours of Pippin and Thoroughly Modern Millie, Phantom-The Las Vegas Spectacular, Las Vegas and Hollywood Bowl productions of Hairspray, The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and the world-premier of Leap of Faith. Bradley holds her B.A. in Performing Arts from Saint Mary’s College of California (L.E.A.P Program) and M.S. in Arts Administration from Le Moyne College where she also received the Inaugural Arts Administration Community Impact Award in 2018.
