The Nutcracker Auditions
FOR THE OSWEGO PERFORMANCE AT WATERMAN THEATRE, SUNY OSWEGO
Audition to be a part of Syracuse City Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, a classic holiday tradition choreographed by Artistic Director, Jayson Douglas.
Dancers 7+ are eligible to audition for SCB’s production of The Nutcracker.
Open Audition will be held on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025 at Sky Project Dance Company located at 37 East 4th Street, Oswego, NY 13216.
Ages 7-9: 11:00-12:00pm
Ages 10-12: 12:00-1:00pm
Acros Ages 7-12: 1:00-1:30pm
Ages 13+: 1:30-3:00pm
Pointe Ages 12+: 3:00-4:00pm

Preferred attire for audition:
Girls: Black leotard with pink or skin tone ballet tights and ballet slippers. Hair should be in a bun or secured away from the face and neck.
Boys: White short-sleeve shirt with black tights, shorts, or pants and white socks and ballet slippers. Hair should be secured away from the face and neck.
There is no audition fee. There will be a $100 casting fee payable at the first rehearsal, with a sibling discount of 50% off each additional sibling who is cast in the same show.
Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays or Sundays beginning September 6th.
Our Oswego performances of The Nutcracker will take place November 20-22nd at the Waterman Theatre at SUNY Oswego located at 7060 State Route 104, Oswego, NY.

Requirements for Participation:
Must be able to attend weekly rehearsals, tech rehearsals, and performances.
Rehearsals will be held on weekends according to the schedule that will be provided upon casting. Please note: this schedule is subject to change based on the needs of the production. All changes will be communicated in advance by the Rehearsal Coordinator.
*Tech Week Rehearsals and Performances will be held at The Waterman Theatre at SUNY Oswego.
