S. Arthur Sicilia
Guest Choreographer
S. Arthur Sicilia is honored and excited to be working as a guest choreographer this season with Syracuse City Ballet and is proud to watch the company flourish through the incredible artists and passion that construct it. Arthur received his BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee, as well as his MA in Dance Performance as a member of Trinity Laban's Transitions Dance Company. Arthur's international performance credits include works by Hannes Langolf, Alan Lake, Didy Veldman, Roderick George as well as work by Christina Schnock and Unita Galiluyo during his time as a dancer with the NeoDance Company in Freiburg, Germany. As a choreographer he has premiered numerous creations in Freiburg, including "Kilter," "Whispered Fragments From Dawn," and "And I." He has additionally collaborated on multiple film and stage creations in the USA and Europe. Arthur is a Royal Academy of Dance Registered teacher and has taught both recreational and professional level classes in Germany (DanceEmotion Studio and Academy), USA, UK (Trinity Laban CAT Programme) and Austria (Tanzlinz).
S. Arthur Sicilia is currently based in Linz, Austria, working as a soloist with Tanzlinz at Landestheater Linz, where he has been involved with productions by Ashley Lobo, Chris Herring, and acted as both a choreographer and dancer in "The Garden." In Linz, Arthur is excited to be premiering his solo installation "Window Stories: The Body Twice Removed" this upcoming fall. Arthur is passionate about the continuous investigation and possibilities of dance and finds collaboration and exchange to be vital elements in this fruitful medium.
