Hannah Cherry began her formal dance training at Philadelphia Dance Theatre. She has attended summer intensives on full tuition scholarship to The School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Ms. Cherry was awarded the Outstanding Soloist award in the senior classical division for the 2020 Regional Dance of America. After PDT, Hannah continued her training as a trainee with Charlotte Ballet. She has had the honor of Patricia McBride setting Balanchine lead principal roles directly on her. Hannah has danced in professional performances of The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty (including soloist roles), and Swan Lake all with Charlotte Ballet. Ms. Cherry was one of five dancers to be chosen to choreograph for Charlotte Ballet’s 2024 Trainee Choreographic showcase. She has also had the privilege of helping to set Charlotte Ballet's production of The Nutcracker on the younger students. In fall of 2024, Hannah danced principal, demi, and corps roles in Albany Berkshire Ballet’s 50th Anniversary Nutcracker tour.  Hannah continues to live out her career as a professional dancer and a teacher. She is thrilled to be joining Syracuse City Ballet for her first season!
