Harris Yesenik

Apprentice

Harris Yesenik (he/him) is from Arlington, Texas where he began his ballet training at age 5 so he could be in productions with his older sister. He trained at Art Ballet Academy under the Direction of Mariya Kudyakova, then moved to Cary, North Carolina at 15 to study in Cary Ballet Conservatory’s preprofessional program under the direction of Mariaelana Ruiz. He embarked on a professional career by joining Texas Ballet Theater’s Studio Training Company last season, back home in Texas.

Harris has received so many incredible opportunities in dance through his affiliation with Youth America Grand Prix. He was honored to place and to be invited to finals every year that he competed in YAGP from 2017 through 2025, as a soloist, pas de deux and ensemble member. He was invited to perform in the Youth Grand Prix Mexico gala as a guest artist in 2021. YAGP gave him the opportunity to perform in the Nervi Festival in Genoa, Italy in the summer of 2022. He was also honored to have danced in ICE, International Contemporary Ensemble with YAGP during its second generation.  

Harris is excited to begin his journey with Syracuse City Ballet!
